240 HUMMERs Join HUMMER Homecoming 2006 Celebration

SOUTH BEND, IND. June 19, 2006; HUMMER owners from 34 states and provinces the United States and Canada, as well as members of a Japan-based HUMMER owners’ club will converge June 19-23 in South Bend, Indiana – the home of AM General and the birthplace of the original HUMMER – for HUMMER Homecoming 2006.

“The HUMMER family continues to grow exponentially with the introduction of new models, like the affordable, mid-size H3,” said Martin Walsh, HUMMER general manager. “The Homecoming gives us a chance to celebrate the brand’s expansion and offers HUMMER owners around the country a chance to learn more about their vehicles’ unparalleled capabilities.”

Throughout the week-long celebration, HUMMER owners will have opportunities to learn more about their HUMMERs and off-road driving techniques through vehicle maintenance and repair classes, obstacle courses, off-road instruction and driving on HUMMER Driving Academy courses.

In addition, the HUMMER Club will offer attendees Red Cross courses and off-road training to certify more owners in the HOPE (HUMMER Owners Prepared for Emergencies) program.

Homecoming activities will conclude on Thursday, June 22, with an Armed Forces Tribute featuring Grammy award winner Lee Greenwood in concert. Proceeds from the concert tickets, along with matching contributions from AM General and HUMMER will be donated to the Fisher House (www.fisherhouse.org) – a unique private-public partnership for families of patients receiving medical care at major military and VA medical centers.

HUMMER Homecoming is being organized by the HUMMER Club, Inc. (www.thehummerclubinc.com), with support from AM General and General Motors.
