"It looks like the industry is down about two percent during the first half of 2006 compared with the same period last year," said Jesse Toprak, Executive Director of Industry Analysis for Edmunds.com. The combined monthly U.S. market share for Chrysler, Ford and General Motors (GM) domestic nameplates is estimated to be 55.5 percent in June, down from 63.1 percent in June 2005 but up from 54.0 percent in May 2006.
