Polaris Receives Delivery Order to Supply Light Weight All-Terrain Vehicles to the US Military

MEDINA, Minn.--July 18, 2006--

4X4 and 6X6 ATV's to be supplied to United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM)

Polaris Industries Inc. today announced it has received another delivery order from USSOCOM to ship another 50 Light Weight All-Terrain Vehicles for military applications. Polaris is currently under a five year contract awarded in 2004 with USSOCOM to provide All-Terrain Vehicles (ATV's) with Military modifications designed to operate worldwide, around-the-clock on road and off-road terrain in all weather conditions.

These ATV's will be built utilizing two of the Polaris key manufacturing facilities located in Roseau, Minnesota and Osceola, Wisconsin and will be delivered later this year. This award follows two previous sales to the US Army in April and June for 56 Militarized ATV's for Army Infantry deployed in South West Asia.

"Polaris is very proud of our continuing role in providing versatile, reliable, and rugged machines the US Military needs to perform missions in very demanding terrain and climates in places like Iraq and Afghanistan," said Bennett Morgan, President and Chief Operating Officer for Polaris Industries. "We take very seriously the opportunity to provide products to our military, knowing they may be relied on to get Americans out of harms way."
