Internet Brands Launches Industry-First Wikicars.org; ``Wikipedia for Cars'' to Be Collaborative Guide to All Things Automotive

LOS ANGELES--Aug. 2, 2006--Internet Brands, Inc., an operator of media and e-commerce sites for big-ticket consumer purchases, today announced the launch of Wikicars.org, the first major "wiki-powered" automotive web site. Wikicars.org is built on the principle that car shoppers often get their best information from a community of other car shoppers, enthusiasts and professionals. Utilizing wiki-based collaborative editing, the site is designed to become the world's most comprehensive source of information about all things automotive.

As the premiere "Wikipedia for Cars," Wikicars.org is expected to draw a dedicated community of contributors with a passion for sharing personal automotive experience and points of view. Like all wiki sites, topics on Wikicars.org are only limited by the contributors' knowledge and interests, and the posting of brand-new topics and articles is the real engine behind Wikicars.org's growth. Editing and improving existing content is equally important, and contributors have a broad range of initial articles to choose from.

Current Wikicars.org content already includes: a hybrid car center that offers the most comprehensive, easy-to-use guide to hybrid vehicles; a database of features, specs and general information on every production car, truck, and SUV sold in the U.S.; new car buying guides; and guides to the unusual and the extreme, such as the world's fastest, most expensive, most fuel efficient, most famous and most blessed vehicles.

While Wikicars.org is a true "wiki," allowing all visitors to easily create or edit any site content, the thousands of individuals who will comprise the Wikicars.org community will also include top automotive experts from Internet Brands divisions, including Autos.com, Autodata Solutions, CarsDirect.com, Greenhybrid.com, and NewCarTestDrive.com.

"Wikicars will combine the breadth you expect from Wikipedia with the guidance you expect from professional reviewers and informed consumers," said Bob Brisco, CEO of Internet Brands. "Online shoppers are overwhelmed by information these days - including the hundreds of sites offering thousands of individual user postings. Wikicars distills all that information down to one or two pages reflecting the shared wisdom of experts and everyday drivers alike. With global collaboration as the foundation, we expect Wikicars to develop into the world's deepest source of automotive knowledge and wisdom."

Internet Brands is uniquely positioned to launch the premiere wiki automotive site. In addition to its award-winning automotive sites, the company operates other leading wiki sites Wikitravel.org and World66.com.
