Adam Carolla's 'Xtreme' Ride to Help Make 'Wishes Come True' for Deserving Children

One Lucky Bidder Will Receive the Keys to Adam Carolla's 'Xtreme Ride,' With 100% of Proceeds Benefiting Make-A-Wish Foundation(R) Local Chapters

VAN NUYS, Calif., Aug 9 -- Al & Ed's Autosound, Southern California's largest mobile electronics specialist, is teaming-up with Santa Monica Subaru and 97.1 FREE-FM's Adam Carolla Show to build an "Xtreme" vehicle that will be auctioned off in September to benefit the children served by the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Los Angeles and the Make-A-Wish Foundation chapter closest to the winning bidder. The vehicle, a Subaru Impreza WRX TR (Tuner Ready), has been fully donated by Santa Monica Subaru and the building process will take place at one of 24 Al & Ed's Autosound locations throughout August 2006, with Adam providing a play-by-play of the progress on his morning show.

During August, listeners can go online to the FREE-FM site (www.971freefm.com) to see the car customization process taking place at a local Al & Ed's Autosound location. The car auction will run from September 1st through September 15th and will be held online at the FREE-FM site. The highest bidder will be handed the keys to the "Xtreme ride" at the Greater Los Angeles Auto Show, where The Adam Carolla Show will present a check to the Make-A-Wish Foundation live on the morning show. The vehicle will then be on display in the Al & Ed's Autosound booth at the Greater Los Angeles Auto Show until December 10th.

Throughout the campaign, two lucky listeners of The Adam Carolla Show will each have his or her personal vehicle loaded with a premium sound system from Al & Ed's Autosound. Each "Xtreme Your Ride" prize package is worth $1,800. Over 30 other listeners will be able to win $100 gift cards to any of the 24 Al & Ed's Autosound locations in Southern California.
