Acura Announces Record November 2006 Sales Results

Light Truck Sales Set a New All-Time Record

TORRANCE, Calif., Dec. 1 -- Fueled by record sales of the all-new 2007 MDX luxury SUV in just its first full month of sales, Acura sold a November record of 17,200 units sold for the month, the division announced today. The monthly total was up 23.9 percent from a year ago and raised year-to-date sales to 182,167.

Further boosted by a record 1,951 RDX entry premium SUVs, the division sold an all-time record of 8,037 light trucks in November, shattering the previous record of 6,238 set in December 2004. Leading the way for Acura during the month was the newly-redesigned MDX with 6,086 units sold, an increase of 66.8 percent over 2005, making this its second best November ever. The MDX has now sold 47,894 units in 2006.

"We knew demand for the redesigned MDX would be high because of its added performance, dynamic new styling and vast array of features and technology," said Dick Colliver, executive vice president, sales. "These impressive early results give us great momentum as we head into December, a month during which we again anticipate strong sales."

The TSX sports sedan continued its brisk pace in 2006 with a November record of 2,463 units sold -- nearly double last November's total -- and bumping year-to-date TSX sales to 34,509 -- up 8.4 percent versus a year ago.
