Saab and Documenta Agree to Cooperation

Rüsselsheim/Kassel - Saab Automobile AB will be one of the main sponsors of the Documenta in 2007. Saab thereby supports one of the most highly regarded exhibitions of contemporary art in the world. The Documenta has taken place in Kassel every five years since 1955, most recently attracting over 650,000 visitors.

"The Documenta is always one of the highlights of the German and international cultural calendar. The five-year cycle of this exhibition in Kassel creates an exclusivity particularly well-suited to us. The individuality and uniqueness that take our cars out of the mainstream draw another parallel to the Documenta. It is these traditional Saab brand values that make this an ideal cooperation for us," says Director Global Brand and Sales Operations of Saab, Knut Simonsson.

Documenta Director Bernd Leifeld adds, "When I think of the profile of a Saab driver, then it is someone who is open, an individualist with an acquired taste and an appreciation for style and beauty; so in essence the archetypal visitor of Documenta. I am really happy to have found a new and like-minded partner in Saab for our exhibition."

The Documenta 12 takes place from June 16 to September 23, 2007.
