11th Annual International Car of the Year Awards Rev Up in Detroit

Who: ROAD & TRAVEL Magazine presents its 2007 International Car of the Year Awards

What:

- The 11th Annual International Car of the Year Awards (ICOTY) will recognize the Top 10 vehicles for 2007 including: International Car of the Year, International Truck of the Year, Most Sex Appeal (sports car), Most Athletic (pickup truck), Most Resourceful (SUV), Most Respected (luxury), Most Compatible (minivan), Most Dependable (Sedan) Most Spirited (entry level) and Most Versatile (crossover).

- The fourth annual Lifetime Achievement Award will honor veteran automotive journalist and photographer Jim Dunne. Having started his career over 40 years ago, Dunne's stories and photographs have appeared in magazines, newspapers and TV stations all around the world, in particular inside the glossy pages of Popular Mechanics magazine where Jim has served as Detroit Editor for the past 21 years. First and third year recipients, Denise McCluggage and David E. Davis, Jr. respectively, will also be in attendance.

- The third annual HEART STRING Award will be awarded to the automaker and agency for the most emotionally compelling car commercial that ran on national TV in 2006. The three finalists are: Chevrolet's "Silverado" by Campbell-Ewald, Ford Mustang's "Father & Son" by JWT, and Volvo's "Rosi" by Euro RSCG Worldwide.
