EU Membership Does Nothing For Flat Eastern European Car Sales

DUBLIN, Ireland--Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/reports/c48022) has announced the addition of Central and Eastern Europe Automotive Market Review to their offering.

If sales managers in those countries in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) which joined the European Union in May 2004 thought that their accession status would lead to a boom in car sales, they had another thing coming. Sales in the main new EU member states with substantial car production have been as flat as those in the 15 established EU member states this year. This months briefing provides sales data to September this year, and production figures with forecasts to 2012, accompanied by analysis of development in the market, scope for growth and increased demand for new vehicles. It also considers activities of manufacturers in this region; who despite flat sales are increasing their capacity.
