Odyne Corp Presents Innovative Plug-In Hybrid Technology Message to Influential Fleet Managers in New York and California Markets

At a conference panel on “Advanced Technologies and Retrofit/Repower Technologies” in Riverside, California, CEO Roger M. Slotkin highlighted the advantages of Odyne’s plug-in hybrid powertrain and battery management systems. At the invitation of the Western Riverside Council of Governments, Slotkin addressed a large an audience comprised of Southern California’s municipal fleet managers, air quality management staff, and top government officials at the Western Riverside Clean Cities Coalition’s 8^th Annual “Advancing the Choice” event, held on February 8th, 2007.

Slotkin presented Odyne Corp’s proven solution for fleet managers faced with meeting strict air quality standards for clean emissions vehicles. Odyne’s flexible and fuel agnostic technology can help the California Inland Empire region’s fleets leverage the area’s extensive Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) fueling infrastructure via CNG plug-in hybrids for medium and heavy-duty truck and transit platforms. Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) applications are also an attractive option in this market.

Riverside County, east of metropolitan Los Angeles, experiences some of the nation’s most challenging air quality concerns. With a population of over 1.7 million, it is one of the country’s fastest growing counties. The Western Riverside Clean Cities Coalition (CCC) is considered a national leader, representing one of the most influential and innovative alternative fuel vehicle markets. It is one of 92 CCC chapters nationwide dedicated to improving air quality and decreasing dependence on foreign fuel through the deployment of alternative fuel vehicles and associated infrastructure.

On January 31, Slotkin addressed a similar New York audience of key municipal fleet decision makers, along with equipment suppliers, at a hybrid technology seminar held in conjunction with strategic partner Nassau Suffolk Truck Sales. The high level briefing provided an overview of the Odyne vehicles to date, and their application in the transportation and sanitation markets.
