Washington DC March 5, 2007 The AIADA newsletter reported that amid concerns about global warming and the environment, and a debate about auto emission limits in Europe, fuel efficient technology and hybrid vehicles will be featured at this year's Geneva Motor Show.

DaimlerChrysler will display a lower-emission diesel engine and Toyota will unveil its Hybrid X concept combining an electric motor with a gas engine.

According to the Detroit News, focus will be on fuel-efficient and environmentally conscious engines, and a healthy bottom line.

Japanese automaker Toyota Corp. is slated to have the next-step designs of its hybrid Prius models, which uses electricity, batteries, and a gas-powered internal combustion.

Smaller and more fuel-efficient cars from China will also be getting attention. China's Brilliance JinBei Automobile will unveil its first car aimed at European consumers, the BS 6, to be distributed through HSO Motors Europe.

The show is open to the public from March 8-18.
