Mother’s Car Show will make its debut this week as part of the ESPN2 Garage programming block. Designed to complement ESPN’s extensive coverage of NASCAR, IndyCar, Champ Car and NHRA racing in 2007, ESPN2 Garage is dedicated to the automotive, motorcycle and motorsports world. ESPN2 will air more than 1,100 hours of motorsports programming in 2007.

New episodes of The Bidding Wars, Funkmaster Flex’s Car Wars, Hot Rod Television, Metric Revolution, P.I.P.E.S, and Stacey David’s GearZ will air Saturday and Sunday, April 14-15, with replays to air on weekday afternoons the following week. And a new episode of the ESPN2 Garage program SpeedFreaks will air at 5 p.m. ET on Thursday, April 12.

Mother’s Car Show showcases cars, bikes, trucks, sport compacts, street rods and everything else with wheels and an engine. The Mother’s crew will be everywhere from Ocala, Fla., to Omaha, Neb., to bring reports on exotic vehicles to viewers. The first episode will air at 5:30 p.m. ET on Wednesday, April 11, and out of the Mothers Shine Awards from the SEMA show in Las Vegas, celebrity judges rate what car they think is the absolute best. Another episode will air the next day at the same time.

The new episode of SpeedFreaks was taped in Nashville and features NASCAR NEXTEL Cup driver Casey Mears and NHRA POWERAde Drag Racing Series driver Brandon Bernstein. The SpeedFreaks discuss Toyota’s entrance into the top levels of NASCAR, with show host Kenny Sargent giving the media a piece of his mind.

Hot Rod TV will kick off the ESPN2 Garage schedule on Saturday at 10 a.m. ET. The episode will showcase Steven Juliano's rare collection of Mopars for the first time ever on television. Hot Rod TV also visits with Mopar enthusiasts from around the country and finds out why it's Mopar or No Car for them. A previously-aired episode will be shown at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10.

Following at 10:30 a.m. will be a new episode of P.I.P.E.S. Team Blue Collar brings a Mustang that’s ready to put up a race against a Mazda 3 driven by SCC Racing. Can the hungry Mustang chase down the front wheel drive Mazda? Previously-aired episodes will be shown at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10, and 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 12.

Stacey David’s GearZ airs at 11 a.m. Saturday, and David wonders what would happen when crossing the quintessential girl’s car, the Mazda Miata, with the ultimate guy’s car, the Shelby Cobra. David blows apart a Miata to get it ready for its conversion into a V8 powered, screaming machine called the “Banshee.” The show will be repeated at 6 p.m. on Monday, April 16, and a previously-aired episode will be shown at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10.

In the new episode of The Bidding Wars that airs Saturday at 11:30 a.m., even a replica of the vaunted Duesenberg can command respect on the auction block as the heavy hitters weigh in. But not every classic car is a guaranteed sale. Another new episode airs on Sunday at 11:30 a.m. A seller wrestles with getting his money's worth as his rare 1937 Cord crosses the block. Meanwhile the Inspector Gadget Lincoln seemingly drives itself around--but can it sell itself? A previously-aired episode will be shown at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, April 11.

On Sunday, a new episode of Funkmaster Flex’s Car Wars debuts at noon. Someone breaks the rules and is confronted by another contestant. Missing parts, family problems, and a search for a NASCAR sponsor interfere with the builds. And Flex makes a surprise visit. An encore showing will air at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, April 16.

Metric Revolution airs at 12:30 p.m. with 22 of the country’s greatest motorcycle builders facing off in a competition unlike any other. This week Mike Dusold, Dennis Vazquez and Dana D’Oench struggle to build some of the most radical custom bikes on the planet. The episode will be repeated at 5 p.m. on Monday, April 16.

An episode of RM Classic Car Auctions will air at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Set at one of the biggest auction houses in the country, viewers will see the auction scene in Monterey, Calif., and show some of the most beautiful and exotic cars in the world being sold for astronomical prices.
