WINDPOWER 2007 Coming to Los Angeles June 3-6

LOS ANGELES - May 9, 2007: The WINDPOWER 2007 Conference & Exhibition, the largest wind energy conference and exhibition in the world with over 400 exhibitors and 6,000 attendees this year, will address the latest policy developments, business topics, and technology advancements in the wind energy industry. The expo will take place June 3-6, 2007, at the Los Angeles Convention Center in downtown LA.

Wind power is a fast-growing source of electricity and an essential element of the solution to both climate change and our increasing demand for energy. The U.S. wind energy industry installed over 2,400 megawatts of generating capacity in 2006 -- making wind the second-largest largest source of new power generation in the country. AWEA estimates the industry will install over 3,000 megawatts in 2007.
