Mercedes-Benz Sales In China Up 30% in The First Seven Months of '07

SHANGHAI - August 17, 2007: Mercedes-Benz sold 15,830 units in Chinese market (including Hong Kong and Macau) in the first seven months this year, up 30% from a year earlier, according to the news from the group.

Mercedes-Benz's S series, which has maintained No.1 position in the premium segment, delivered 5,800 units to customers in mainland China in the first seven months of this year, up 53% year on year. In July alone, S series sales rose 68percent in mainland China.

Its SUV model also had a substantial sales increase. In its SUV segment, ML, GL, G and R series sold 2,100 units in China in the first seven months, up 67 percent year on year.

In addition, SLK, CLK and SL sports car series sales increased substantially. The CLK sports July car sales in China rose 124 percent year on year.
