Identifix® Direct-Hit™ Reaches Milestone of 50,000 Vehicle Searches in One Week

PAUL, Minn.--Identifix®, one of the nations premier sources of online and hotline vehicle diagnostic and repair information, announced today that subscribers to the companys Direct-Hit product looked up information on over 50,000 vehicles in a single week. The number of vehicles looked up by Direct-Hit subscribers per week has doubled in the last 12 months.

Direct-Hit is Identifixs subscription based online diagnostic information source offering real-world, proven diagnostic and fix information. It was developed from nearly 3 million Identifix Repair Hotline calls to the companys 41 ASE master certified technicians. Identifix continually enhances Direct-Hit by adding over 5,000 vehicle problems, real-world short cuts tests, and fixes on a monthly basis.

We are excited by our strong growth and industry support for our products and services. Direct-Hit allows us to share with the entire industry the knowledge we gain from talking to over 10,000 shops each year, said Jeff Sweet, Identifix President. By using Hotline Archives a shop is able to see whether other shops are observing similar problems on vehicles. The shop can then take advantage of the short cut tests created by our master technicians and use likely causes to find fixes faster, Sweet added.

Direct-Hit enables technicians to perform repairs profitably and accept repair services on jobs that otherwise might have been turned away. The company also serves as a content supplier to Microsofts MSN.Auto web site, providing data on used vehicle reliability and reparability.
