Camping World Announces Opening in Little Rock

BOWLING GREEN, K.Y.--Camping World, America's largest retailer of RV and outdoor supplies, accessories and recreational vehicles, today announced that it will open its first store in Arkansas scheduled for August 31. The new store complex continues the rapidly growing retailer’s expansion in to key markets and on its planned trajectory of 100 stores by 2008.

Located off of Interstate 40, the new full service, state-of-the-art store provides customers with all of their RV, outdoor, camping accessory and service needs. The store will feature a wide array of recreational vehicles including motorhomes, fifth wheels and travel trailers, as well as over 8000 sku’s available from basic camping and outdoor accessories to hard to find RV parts.

A recent study by the University of Michigan’s Survey Research Center found that one in 12 U.S. vehicle-owning households now own an RV. There are now 7.9 million households in the U.S. with a RV. This figure indicates a 58 percent rise in RV ownership since 1980. This study also anticipates similar growth in the future, thus providing the catalyst for additional Camping World stores across the country.
