Toyota FJ Cruiser to Enter Chinese Market in December

The 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser will be imported to China as a completely built unit and sold through Toyota's sales networks, according to Guangzhou Toyota authorized dealerships in Beijing.

FJ Cruiser is expected to arrive at dealer showrooms in December with a price tag of about 600,000 yuan ($79,500). This is the third model Guangzhou Toyota offers in the Chinese market, following Camry and Highlander. Toyota has very high expectations for the expressive, value-laden SUV.

The FJ Cruiser features a 4.0-liter V6 engine, 245 horsepower and 282 lb-ft of torque. The vehicle has a five-speed automatic transmission on both the 4x2 and 4x4 configurations. A six-speed manual transmission is available on 4x4 models.

The model also features a fashionable appearance as well as personal design. It can seat five-passengers and other characteristics include 17-inch steel wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, star Safety System which includes Vehicle Stability Control and traction control, an anti-lock brake system with electronic brake-force distribution and brake assist as standard.
