New Hampshire Food Bank receives $4,000 from local Volkswagen dealerships

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Feb. 18 -- Volkswagen of America, Inc. announced it has raised $4,000 for the New Hampshire Food Bank by the donation of $2 for every test drive taken for a new car at all New Hampshire Volkswagen dealers.

"I was very impressed with how our community of dealers and customers worked together for this program and were able to raise $4,000 for a great cause." said Matthew Phillips, Volkswagen eastern region sales operation manager. "The New Hampshire Volkswagen dealers are proud to support the area where they live and work."

The New Hampshire Food Bank each year distributes over 4 million pounds of donated, surplus food to nearly 350 food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, day care centers, senior citizen homes and substance abuse treatment centers. These member agencies then provide the food to over 95,000 hungry people throughout New Hampshire.
