Group 1 Automotive to Present at Thomas Weisel Partners Conference

HOUSTON, Sept. 20, 2008 - Group 1 Automotive, Inc. ,a Fortune 500 automotive retailer, today announced that executive management will present at the Thomas Weisel Partners Consumer Conference 2008. The presentation will provide an overview of Group 1’s second-quarter financial results, as well as its outlook and strategy for 2008.

Group 1 is scheduled to present at the Mandarin Oriental New York hotel in New York, N.Y., on Sept. 23, at 10:55 a.m. ET.
