The Propane Engine Fuel Summit was held at the new MGM Grand Hotel and Casino in Detroit on November 13th and 14th. The event was attended by 200 of the country's leading propane manfacturers, marketers and innovators. Exponents and speakers represented both the private sector and governmental agencies, such as the U.S. EPA and the National Renewable Energy Lab. Major corporate etities included, Kawasaki, Roush Performance, Blue Bird Buses, Briggs & Stratton, CleanFUEL USA and R.L. Polk & Co.

The primary purpose of the exposition was to enhance and expand the country's knowledge of propane as an affordable, available, safe and convenient alternative to gasoline as an engine fuel.

In total, there were 16 presentation sessions, most of which had multiple speakers. In addition, there were manufacturer and supplier exhibits and an on-site tour of the Roush Industries plant.
