MILTON KEYNES, UNITED KINGDOM: May 29, 2009: As a no cost option, a new ‘kombi pack’ for the five-seater Caddy Maxi window van is now available. The new vehicle deletes the Caddy Maxi Life’s side windows in the load area to create a perfect vehicle for carrying crew while leaving a more secure and practical storage space for any tools or racking equipment.

Alternatively, for owner/drivers or those with active hobbies, it creates a vehicle to carry family or friends, plus lots of gear at weekends. They may also like the added style of the ‘appearance pack’ which adds body-coloured bumpers and door mirrors.

To maximise the storage space and versatility of the vehicle, the three-seater rear bench splits and folds forward to increase the loadspace from 1,650 litres (1.6 m³) to 3,950 litres (3.9 m³), with a maximum load length of 1.8 metres and a payload ranging from 632 kg to 713 kg (depending on engine/transmission). It can also tow a braked trailer weighing up to 1,500 kg, with a trailer noseweight limit of 80 kg.

There is a choice of two turbodiesel engines: a 1.9 TDI PD unit with 104 PS and 250 Nm of torque which achieves 45.6 mpg on the combined cycle with the standard five-speed manual gearbox, or 40.9 mpg with the award-winning, six-speed DSG (Direct Shift Gearbox); alternatively, a 2.0 TDI PD with 140 PS and a six-speed manual gearbox delivers 44.8 mpg on the combined cycle.

The Caddy Maxi window van range starts from £13,250 (excluding VAT and delivery).
