The all-new, 2010 Buick LaCrosse continues a Buick brand renaissance begun by the Enclave luxury crossover. The LaCrosse is a completely redesigned luxury sedan that offers a stunning exterior and cabin; advanced, intelligent personal technologies and safety features; and a choice of two fuel-saving V-6 engines.

Starting MSRP for a well-equipped LaCrosse is under $28,000, thousands less than some of its competitors.

“The LaCrosse is a sexy, beautiful sedan for those who buy with their heart, and a tremendous value in this changing market for those who buy with their head,” said Susan Docherty, Buick-Pontiac-GMC vice president. “The LaCrosse was created by a dynamic team of designers and engineers from three continents. And in keeping with Buick’s quality heritage, they paid great attention to detail, craftsmanship and advanced technology.”

The LaCrosse is built at the Fairfax Assembly Plant in Kansas City, Kan. “Based on the very positive feedback we’ve received from the media and consumers, we expect the LaCrosse – like Enclave – will bring a whole new group of buyers to Buick,” said Docherty.

The 2010 LaCrosse is offered in three models: CX, CXL and CXS. A choice of front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive is available.

Sculpted design and luxurious interior
The new LaCrosse is designed to represent modern elegance. The exterior balances taut, sculpted lines with sensuous accents and surfaces. Inside, premium design elements such as smoked chrome accents, top-of-the-line leather and materials complement the ice blue ambient lighting to create an inviting environment. The 2010 LaCrosse also incorporates Buick’s signature QuietTuning – an engineering process to reduce, block and absorb interior noise to provide a distraction-free environment.

Intelligent technologies promote safety and peace of mind and include available head-up display; adaptive, high-intensity discharge headlamps; Side Blind Zone Alert technology and a rearview camera that displays images on the navigation system screen. Personal technologies such as Bluetooth connectivity, power rear-window sunshade and DVD entertainment system make the luxurious cabin even more comfortable.

Six air bags, as well as standard StabiliTrak and OnStar, provide industry-leading safety and security.

Efficient, responsive performance
The 2010 Buick LaCrosse offers a choice of two all-new, direct injected V-6 engines (mated to six-speed transmissions), which boost fuel economy without sacrificing power and performance. Precise suspension tuning, including real-time active dampening technology on the uplevel CXS model, enhances the driving experience.

Other 2010 Buicks

Here’s a look at new features in the rest of the 2010 Buick lineup:

For those yearning to make a statement on the road, Buick’s popular luxury crossover gets available 20-inch wheels for 2010, as well as several technologies that add value and convenience.

A USB port is included with premium radios. Located in the center console, it allows customers to connect portable music with the vehicle sound system and charge the batteries. In addition, a new rear backup camera features a screen embedded in the inside rearview mirror, allowing customers to enjoy this option even without the navigation radio.

The available navigation radio now includes XM NavTraffic, a real-time traffic reporting system available in selected markets.

Enclave’s standard OnStar system includes enhanced emergency, OnStar Vehicle Diagnostics and navigation capabilities. For example, OVD now monitors operation of the StabiliTrak stability enhancement system.

The Enclave is available in CX and CXL models.

Other enhancements include backlit gauges on the instrument panel cluster for greater aesthetics and visibility, and available Bluetooth connectivity on the Lucerne 1CX model. Three new exterior colors will debut; Pearl Frost Tricoat, Light Bronze Metallic and Sand Beige Metallic. All colors except White Opal will be available on the Lucerne Super. The Lucerne CXL Special Edition interior is upgraded to the Custom Perforated Suede-appointed Lucerne Super interior with heated seats standard on both.

The 2010 Lucerne is available in CX, CXL, CXL Special Edition and Super models.

Buick’s quality story
In March 2009, J.D. Power and Associates announced that Buick tied for the highest ranking in vehicle dependability for three-year-old models. The LaCrosse ranked first in the midsize segment, beating the Toyota Camry, while the Buick Lucerne placed second in the large car segment.

For the seventh straight year, Buick ranked in the Top 10 brands in the J.D. Power and Associates dependability study, which evaluates more than 200 problem areas. In addition to the latest J.D. Power and Associates honor, Buicks have been recognized with numerous “recommended” and “best buy” designations by leading consumer magazines and websites for all three current models: Enclave, LaCrosse and Lucerne.
