COLESHILL, UNITED KINGDOM – June 15, 2009: Subaru (UK) Limited will once again be lending support to the UK’s top amateur cyclists in the London-Paris Cycle Tour 2009.

A fleet of 14 Boxer Diesel Legacy Sports Tourer, Outback and Forester models will be the official event vehicles for the 600 km ride on June 25-28. From leading the four peletons and providing race officials’ vehicles, to the all-important “broom truck”, the cars will provide vital support from start to finish. And as all the cars will be class-leading boxer diesels they’ll do it quietly and economically.

Billed as ‘The Professional event for Amateurs’, the three-day Tour de France-style endurance event starts at London’s Hampton Court and ends at the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Like a pro event it has full support, rolling road closures and covers 520 km in three days.

The Daily Telegraph recently listed the event as one of 25 International events to enter alongside others such as the New York and London Marathons.

John Fossey, Brand Director, Subaru (UK) Ltd. said: “Working with the London-Paris Cycle Tour has been an innovative new development for us and we are very pleased to once again join the team as vehicle sponsors.”
