CHARLOTTE, N.C.--The Greater Charlotte Automobile Dealers Association (GCADA) will be hosting the city’s first ever Charity Preview Night, November 18, 2009 at the Charlotte Convention Center, kicking off the annual Charlotte International Auto Show with style by offering early ticket buyers a rare opportunity to go behind-the-scenes to view the construction of the NASCAR Hall of Fame.

The event, which is designed to provide an exciting new social event on Charlotte area car enthusiasts’ calendars, will feature an advanced look at over 400 new and vintage automobiles, music from “The Embers,” and, for the first 500 people to buy tickets to the event, a sneak peek at the NASCAR Hall of Fame construction site.

“We’re looking at this event as a very special way for people in the area to see some amazing cars in an atmosphere that’s fun and memorable,” said GCADA Executive Director Loretta Allman. “Not only do we look at this as the first of what we hope will be an annual event people in the area will look forward to every year, but another opportunity to give back to our community.”

The event gives the GCADA and event participants the opportunity to support those in the Charlotte area who need assistance by donating proceeds to the Charlotte Rescue Mission. “We have always been tremendously uplifted by the support of the automobile dealers in this area throughout the year and we are especially pleased to be the first ever recipient of proceeds gained from this tremendous event,” said Charlotte Rescue Mission CEO, Rev. Tony Marciano.

Event goers will be treated to first looks at the latest 2010 models of automobiles coming to showrooms, sample a variety of hors d’oeuvres and refreshments and be given the chance to rub elbows with a thousand other area car enthusiasts. Winston Kelley, NASCAR Hall of Fame Executive Director, will open the Charlotte International Auto Show along with other dignitaries.

Tickets are just $75 and can be purchased at the Charlotte Auto Show website. For more information call 704-364-1078.
