QUEENSLAND, AUSTRALIA – October 7, 2009: Specialist ute distributor Isuzu UTE Australia is celebrating its first year of local sales of its D-MAX one-tonne ute and cab/chassis range with an Arctic Pearl Limited Edition crew cab ute.

A real limited edition at just 120 units offered, D-MAX ‘Pearler’ comes dressed with IUA-endorsed accessories fitted totalling over $5,700 of retail value for just $3,300 more than the LS 4x2 and LS-U 4x4 crew utes on which it is based.

Finished in luxury look Pearlescent White metallic including front bumper and wheel arch flares, the ‘Pearler’ sports a lockable hard tonneau, chrome sports bar with LED brake light array, tasteful chrome appliqués to bonnet, lower grille intake, fog light recesses and taillights, plus ‘Limited Edition’ badging on the rear flanks.

Inside there’s Blue Tooth connectivity and custom-monogrammed carpet mats while the tub floor is protected by a heavy duty custom cut rubber floor mat.

Tailgate telltale
“Pearler will also debut ‘ISUZU’ large format tailgate branding in silver onto all D-MAX ute variants ongoing. Apart from the obvious branding benefit, this will also better identify D-MAX from relevant GM-badged utes and recent skin-deep knock-offs out on the road, even from a distance,” said Paul Vuko, General Manager – Sales & Dealer Operations.

Based on the high series LS D-MAX series―the most popular variants with buyers to date, all Pearlers are well-kitted with standard air-conditioning, ABS with EBD, dual airbags, cruise, projector headlights, fold-in power door mirrors with turn indicators, leather tactiles, remote entry, electric windows with one-touch driver’s glass up and down, dual-bin padded centre console, electro-luminescent instrument display, LSD, lockable tailgate, chrome rear step bumper, side steps, alloy wheels including the spare and high-ride suspension.

With turbo-diesel D-MAX‘s famed fuel economy and three litres of under-stressed torque for touring, towing up to three-tonnes with 4x4 or 2.5t with 4x2, Pearler can load up to 920-930kg depending on drivetrain, including occupants and their gear.

The Isuzu D-MAX Arctic Pearl Limited Edition is available in 4x4 or 4x2, automatic or manual, with manufacturer’s retail pricing (excluding on-road costs) from $39,400.
