2010 Car and Truck Of The Year Candidates on Display at San Francisco International Auto Show

SAN FRANCISCO, CA - November 16, 2009: Northern California residents will have an opportunity to see 14 of the 15 cars and all 10 of the trucks being considered for the 2010 North American Car and Truck of the Year awards at the San Francisco Chronicle|SFGate.com 52nd Annual International Auto Show November 26 – December 2, at Moscone Convention Center.

In the car category the nominees are: BMW 335d, Buick LaCrosse, Cadillac CTS Sport Wagon, Chevrolet Camaro, Ford Fusion/Fusion Hybrid, Ford Taurus/Taurus SHO, Honda Insight, Kia Soul, Mazda3/Mazda Speed3, Mercedes-Benz E-Class, Porsche Panamera, Subaru Legacy, Suzuki Kizashi, Toyota Prius and Volkswagon Golf. Only the Kizashi will not be at the show.

The trucks finalists are: Acura ZDX, Audi Q5, Cadillac SRX, Chevrolet Equinox, Ford Transit Connect, Honda Crosstour, Land Rover LR4, Lincoln MKT, Subaru Outback and Volvo XC60. All 10 nominees will be exhibited at Moscone Center.

The car and truck of the year awards are voted on by 50 of the most experienced and respected automotive journalists in United States and Canada. The winners will be announced at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit this January, thus providing spectators at the Bay Area's premier auto show the opportunity to form their own opinions prior to the selections.

The San Francisco Chronicle|SFGate.com International Auto Show, which is supported by the California New Car Dealers Association, is the largest auto exposition in Northern California and the only one held regionally that attracts the dazzling high-tech displays from the world's major manufacturers. In addition to the 2010 models vehicles this year's show will include a classic car collection from the Academy of Art University, the Big O Tires Extreme Autofest hosted by Verizon Wireless, hot rods from Dominator Street Rods, racecars, an auto accessory booth area with aftermarket products, interactive exhibits, simulators, a slot car track and much more.

The Show will have more than 800 vehicles filling the 1.2 million sq. ft. Moscone Center and is expected to draw 350,000 spectators making it the largest exhibition of any kind in Northern California and the second largest auto show in the western United States.

Show hours are: Thursday, November 26 – Tuesday, December 1: 10:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 2: 10:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
