TULLAMARINE, AUSTRALIA – November 24, 2009: Gympie’s first Honda dealership, Pacific Honda, has opened to a strong reception with local drivers and car enthusiasts flocking to the modern showroom and service facility.

“The dealership has only been open for a short period, but we’ve already experienced solid sales and received plenty of positive feedback from locals,” said Joel Reeman, Dealer Principal of Pacific Honda.

Mr Reeman attributes the response from Gympie residents to the superior customer service offered by the dealership and Honda’s reputation for delivering high quality, reliable cars.

“Honda has a loyal following and an impressive product line-up. Often, if someone buys a Honda, they remain dedicated to the brand and may purchase three or four more in the future, so it’s an ongoing relationship,” he said.

The facility, which officially opened late October, undertook an extensive 12-month build process to meet the high standards set by Honda Australia and is often compared to leading dealerships in metropolitan areas. Tiered over two sections, the facility is the only local outlet to combine Honda sales, service and parts.

“Gympie residents prefer to support local business, so it’s great to be able to provide them with a Honda outlet here in town,” Mr. Reeman said.

Despite recent turbulence in the Australian and global economy, Mr. Reeman says he remains confident about future prosperity of the local car industry and the Honda brand, citing long-term investment as the key to success for local dealers.

“At Pacific Honda, we have an ongoing commitment to investing in our business, not just in terms of bricks and mortar but staff training as well,” Mr. Reeman said. “You have to continue to invest in the future in order to grow. People rightly expect the best facilities and the best service, and if you can’t provide it for them, someone else will.”
