TULLAMARINE, AUSTRALIA – January 25, 2010: The 2010 Year Model Honda Accord is to receive curtain airbags as standard across the entire range.

Already standard on the Accord VTi-L and V6L models, curtain airbags are now standard in the entry level Accord VTi.

All 2010 Year Model Accords feature a comprehensive array of safety equipment including the ACE body structure, VSA, ABS brakes with EBD, dual front, side and full length curtain airbags.

The 2010 Honda Accord also receives a number of enhanced features including a key operated feature for the windows and sunroof (VTi-L and V6L models only), which opens them before you need to turn on the engine – an ideal feature for hot days when you need to expel built-up heat in the cabin.

There have also been changes to the dash fascia with revised air-conditioning controls for improved usability.

The Honda Accord remains one of Honda’s most successful and awarded models around the world.

There are two power-plants available in the Accord range. A spritely yet frugal 2.4 litre 133kW four-cylinder DOHC i-VTEC engine which is Australia’s most fuel efficient large car under $75,000 and a powerful 202kW i-VTEC V6 engine with Variable Cylinder Management (VCM), which allows the Accord to operate on 3, 4 or all 6 cylinders for ultimate fuel savings.
