LONDON - March 17, 2010: TomTom customers can easily get the most accurate and reliable maps thanks to the company’s latest map release. It includes more than 100 new or updated maps, three new countries and over 100,000 kilometres of new roads, which can be downloaded directly from the TomTom Map Shop.

For the first time TomTom users can purchase maps for the Morocco & Western Sahara, Chile and French Antilles*, further expanding the reach of TomTom maps.

The new maps include tens of thousands of validated edits and anonymous GPS measurements that originated from TomTom’s global community of drivers. TomTom and its community are unique in the sat nav industry in the way they work together to create the most reliable and up-to-date maps in the world.

TomTom’s complete map package – high-quality Tele Atlas maps installed on all products, quarterly map updates, latest map guarantee, Map Update Service and Map Share™– means that TomTom is able to provide customers with the best maps in the industry.

Background on TomTom’s Map Strategy
In addition to offering quarterly map updates, new TomTom devices come with a latest map guarantee. If there’s a more recent map release available within 30 days of first using a new TomTom device, customers can download the latest release for free.

TomTom’s Map Update Service provides drivers with every single release of their map over a two-year period, saving them money and keeping them right up to date.

Rounding out TomTom’s map offering is Map Share which helps users keep their maps updated in between new map versions.

All maps, and Map Update Service, are available for purchase through TomTom’s Map Shop (www.tomtom.com) and through TomTom’s free desktop software application, TomTom HOME.
