TULLAMARINE, AUSTRALIA – March 18, 2010: Honda Australia will once again feature at Warragul’s Farm World exhibition, taking place in Lardner Park from March 25 to 28 this year.

Honda’s display at Farm World will feature many products from Honda’s massive range, including the latest in Honda vehicles, motorcycles, ATVs, marine engines, power equipment, generators and farming equipment.

One of the stars of the Honda stand is the new 2010 CR-V with re-energised styling, improved handling, special accessory packs and aggressive new pricing. The CR-V has even more safety features, with front, side and curtain airbags now standard across the entire range. The CR-V’s car-like ride and handling has been improved and it is now quieter and more relaxing to drive. A new light interior colour has been added as well as two new exterior colours – Urban Titanium and Habenero Red.

An exciting addition to this year’s display is Honda’s Civic Type R Rally Car fresh from the first round of the Australian Rally Championship in Tasmania. Pakenham based driver Eli Evans and co-driver Glen Weston placed fourth overall in an exciting three days of racing. The next round is in the Busselton and Nannup regions of Western Australia. The Honda Civic Type R will compete in all six rounds of this year’s ARC – coming to a State near you!

The Honda display will also feature an ATV demonstration track and an area for tiller demonstrations to showcase the exciting products in Honda’s range.

Community organisation Evolve at Typo Station will also be in attendance, with information about their important work in the local community.

Evolve is a not-for-profit organisation focused on helping at-risk young people make changes today for a more positive tomorrow. Evolve was founded in 1993 by Matt Phahlert with a vision centred around using the pioneer-conditions, remoteness and beauty of Typo Station to help disadvantaged young men turn their lives around.

Since then, Evolve’s programming has expanded beyond teenage boys to offer programs to a wide range of young people, including school students, bushfire-affected adolescents and at-risk young women who are disengaged from education. While there are a number of elements common to each program, Typo Station and the experience of the ‘bush’ is still at the core of their programming. It provides the setting for peace, quiet and a chance for reflection, something today’s youth rarely get a chance to do with constant demands for their attention in their everyday lives.

Evolve are the recent recipients of a loan Honda CR-V under the ‘Honda Heroes’ program run by The Honda Foundation, Honda Australia’s charitable arm.

The Honda Foundation aims to provide assistance to local communities and foster goodwill among Honda Australia, Honda Motor Vehicle Dealers and the public. It draws funding from Honda Dealers and Honda Australia, who donate $15 ($5 and $10 respectively) for every Honda car sold. Farm World is Australia’s Premier Mixed Farming Field Day, with over 650 exhibitors and around 50,000 visitors. The latest in farm machinery and equipment, pasture, fertilisers, irrigation and motor vehicles are showcased on over 50 acres.
