The New BMW 5 Series Touring

The technology-laden fourth generation 5 Series Touring boasts powerful engines with class-leading fuel economy as well as the most advanced driver assistance systems in the segment in an elegant lifestyle package.

BMW Group Australia Managing Director, Stavros Yallouridis, said the BMW 5 Series Touring is a vehicle of unique style and substance.

“The BMW 5 Series has unique appeal combining spacious practicality with the driving dynamics typical of the BMW brand,” said Mr Yallouridis.

Mr Yallouridis said that BMW Australia is likely to introduce two engine variants for the new model with a four-cylinder diesel to be offered for the first time.

“The powerful straight-six cylinder BMW 535i Touring offers supreme dynamics in the segment while the 520d Touring delivers outstanding performance and unrivalled fuel economy in equal measure,” said Mr Yallouridis.

“The BMW 520d Touring has sold extremely well overseas and with no comparable offering in the local market, we expect it to be enormously popular with Australian customers,” he said.

The BMW 5 Series Touring follows hot on the heels of the BMW 5 Series Sedan which launched in Australia this month.

The new BMW 5 Series Touring is expected to launch in Australia towards of the end of the year with exact pricing and specifications to be confirmed closer to launch.
