SYDNEY – July 27, 2010: Twenty three thousand, six hundred and eighty four gear changes, over 5,206 km, three hundred and eighty two laps in 24 hours. These are just some of the statistics to be marvelled at whilst visiting the Peugeot Australia stand at this year’s Sydney International Motor Show.

On its way to Australia at this point in time is the winner of the 2009 24 Hour Le Mans - the 908 HDi FAP endurance vehicle.

Driven by Australia’s own David Brabham, with two co-drivers, the 908 HDi averaged a speed of 216km/ph. The 43 year-old Australian combined with team mates Alexander Wurz (Austria) and Marc Gene (Spain) to score Peugeot’s first win in the classic endurance test since 1993.

With the exception of a short instant early in the race on Saturday afternoon, Peugeot led from flag to flag and completed an historic one-two victory.
