SYDNEY – Aug 10, 2010: How many of us have run out of fuel, or absentmindedly locked our keys in the car at the worst possible moment? To put an end to such worries, and further improve its customer service, Hyundai Motor Company Australia has extended its existing Hyundai Roadside Assist Program to cover the entire model range from 1st August, 2010.

Through Assist Australia, Hyundai has partnered with Australia’s pre-eminent Motoring Clubs (NRMA, RACV, RACQ, RAA, RAC, RACT & AANT) to ensure customers are covered 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Along with Hyundai’s five year / unlimited kilometre warranty, the Hyundai Roadside Assist program is designed to give Hyundai customers unrivalled peace of mind.

The Standard Programme* covers owners of Getz, Elantra, i20, i30, iLoad and iMax and includes call out for flat battery, out of fuel, flat tyre or vehicle lock out. Whether at home or on the road, assistance is only a phone call away. Customers towing caravans and trailers can rest easy knowing these can also be towed to a safe location.

In the event the car cannot be mobilised at the roadside, it will be towed to the nearest Hyundai Service outlet. Personal touches available to customers include: urgent message relay via the operators to ensure affected family, friends or business associates are informed; local transportation advice and options; and taxi fare assistance* to enable Hyundai customers to continue their journey as necessary.

Owners of ix35, i45, Santa Fe and Grandeur will continue to enjoy the Premium Program which includes enhanced cover^ including onward and transit overnight accommodation where necessary.

“Hyundai has a well deserved reputation for offering excellent customer service,” said Nick Aravanis, Hyundai’s Director of Aftersales. “We’re determined to set the standards in our industry by which all others are judged.”

New Hyundai vehicles+ sold from the 1st August 2010 come with the Hyundai Roadside Assist Program for a period of 12 months.

“The Hyundai Roadside Assist Program is an important component of our customer service strategy,” said Hyundai Motor Company Australia’s Director of Aftersales, Nick Aravanis. “It complements our outstanding Five Year / Unlimited Kilometre Warranty, further proving Hyundai's priorities remain focused on the quality, and excellence of our products and customer service.”
