SYDNEY – October 18, 2010: Volkswagen Group Australia as part of this year’s Australian International Motor Show launched its global strategy “Think Blue” to the Australian public on Friday, 15 October. Over 1,000 people have participated in the activity over the weekend already.

Think Blue embodies Volkswagen’s goal of creating environmentally friendly products and solutions, communicating and encouraging better environmental behaviour and getting involved in initiatives that contribute to a sustainable future.

In order to encourage the Australian public to embrace Think Blue and the associated ways of thinking, two Think Blue photo booths have been located at Darling Harbour from 15 to 24 October. They are located at Druitt Landing and the Cockle Bay Wharf side of Pyrmont Bridge.

In order to have a photo taken, participants need to sit on the attached bike and pedal for approximately 1.5 minutes in order to generate enough energy for a photo. Once this process is complete, they step into the photo booth to have the photo taken by using the energy generated personally on the bike. Shortly after the personal photo will be ready to take away.
