LONDON – November 23, 2010: Stratstone Jaguar has pledged to donate up to £5,000 to the Royal British Legion, raised through the sale of its limited edition Jaguar XFRs.

The announcement was made in the week that Stratstone dealerships across the UK commenced the first customer deliveries of the strictly limited exclusive models.

Only 50 of the Jaguar Stratstone Le Mans Limited Edition will ever be built and Stratstone dealerships across the UK are already reporting exceptionally strong demand for the special edition.

Available in Polaris White and Midnight Black, the strikingly styled 5.0 litre supercharged V8 XFR model, with its aggressive styling and muscular stance, has been given an extensive makeover by Stratstone.

The XFR Stratstone Le Mans Limited Edition delivers an impressive 510ps, achieving 0-60 mph in 4.7 seconds, up to a limited 155 mph.

Each model holds a unique number and is fitted with a range of Stratstone sporting extras to make the limited edition the ultimate sporting experience.

Interior details include personalised sill plaques, embossed leather headrests, a gear selector carrying the Stratstone Le Mans emblem, as well as piano black veneer with a dark mesh aluminium dash and soft grain leather with contrast tailored stitching on the instrument panel.

Exterior details include a black front grille with a colour-coded grille surround, chrome finish twin bonnet louvers with supercharged script and 20” gloss black wheels with Jaguar R brakes and red centre caps.

A keen corporate supporter of the Royal British Legion and its work, Stratstone has pledged to donate £100 for every special edition XFR model sold nationwide to support the 2010 Poppy Appeal.

Given the unprecedented levels of interest in the XFR, Stratstone expects to achieve its £5,000 fundraising target within the next couple of weeks.

Stratstone’s managing director, James Brearley, said, “The Limited Edition is the definitive sporting saloon and no detail has been spared.

“Already deemed a future classic, demand for this iconic model is exceptionally high which is great news for this year’s Poppy Appeal, a very worthy cause given the almost daily news of the sacrifices our service men and women are making in Afghanistan.”

In addition to supporting the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal, purchasers of the XFR Stratstone Le Mans Limited Edition will also have the opportunity to join over 200 like-minded Stratstone customers for the 79th annual Le Mans 24 hour race in June 2011.
