Sue Mulcaster Leaves Kia Press Office

WEYBRIDGE, UNITED KINGDOM – February 9, 2011: It is with great regret and considerable sadness that Kia Motors (UK) Ltd., has to announce that Sue Mulcaster is leaving the Press & Public Relations Department.

Sue has been on maternity leave since April last year and following the birth of her son, Max, she has decided that for the time being she wants to focus on being a full-time Mum.

Stephen Kitson, Communications Director said: “Sue has been a constant in the Press Office and she has been one of our greatest assets during her seven years with Kia. She and I joined Kia within a week of each other in February 2004 at a time when the brand was just starting to make its presence felt in the UK market.

“Since then it has been a privilege to work with her and to enjoy her constantly sunny disposition, energetic hard work and unerring sense of knowing what was right. She helped make our Press Fleet one of the most efficient in the business and single-handedly organised the transfer of the operation to new suppliers without a hitch. She has always been a perfect member of our press events team, working to deliver with great enthusiasm just what we felt our media customers wanted and needed. Perhaps the best tribute to Sue is that I have never heard a single word of criticism from any of our colleagues in the media,” he added.

Sue said: “During my seven years with Kia Steve has always had the time to guide me in the right direction and has had patience with me when I went awry! It's a cliché, but it is genuinely true to say that I have been made to feel an important part of the wider Kia family and I wish the company every success.

”Those of you who I have sat with at the bar until the wee small hours of the morning will know that during these seven years I have met and married my husband and now had our son Max. Now I'm up at 5am changing nappies rather than running cars to the petrol station but I wouldn't change that for the world. Max is my new career and as much as I'm looking forward to being a full-time mum, I will miss working and playing hard. I have met many interesting people and made many friends and I hope our paths cross again,” she said.
