CAMBRIDGE, MA--Sept. 20, 2011: In recognition of the never-ending to-do list and absurdly busy days that have become the norm, Zipcar, Inc. is launching "One Crazy Day," a Facebook-based initiative to embrace the craziness in life and engage fans to crowd source the direction and content of its "One Crazy Day" video series. "One Crazy Day" will be a series of videos from a day full of outrageous, wild and funny tasks that comic Dan Levy will accomplish in New York City with the help of a Zipcar and a little inspiration from Zipcar fans online.

Levy -- the 2011 Young Hollywood Comedian of the Year -- will accept three missions, sourced by Zipcar Facebook fans, and complete them while testing his comedic chops and ability to navigate the New York metro area in a variety of Zipcar vehicles. Fans with the winning submissions will receive a free trip to New York City to ride shotgun during Levy's adventures and go home with $250 in Zipcar driving credit.

"'One Crazy Day' is going to be pretty sweet," said Levy.  "I want to be the next viral video star -- look out Giggling Panda, Dan Levy is here. Prepare to be entertained."

"Many Zipsters and fans of the Zipcar brand are on-the-go, socially connected people who are making a direct impact on pop culture as creators of original content for blogs, websites and videos," said Rob Weisberg, Zipcar's chief marketing officer.  "We're launching 'One Crazy Day' to give our fan base the opportunity to contribute to a comical video series that pays homage to our often crazy, busy lives, and have some fun along the way."

Zipcar fans and its more than 605,000 members can get involved by submitting mission ideas on the Zipcar Facebook page, voting on the final three missions and watching the fun unfold live as Levy zips around Manhattan on Oct. 14.  Fans will be invited to tune in over the following weeks as Zipcar unveils the Facebook video series -- in celebration of the ultimate "One Crazy Day."

Thousands of Crazy Fans

Starting today through Oct. 10, fans can log onto the Zipcar Facebook page, select the "One Crazy Day" tab, and submit missions -- from playing triangle in a heavy metal band to serenading two men having a power lunch in the financial district. Missions should take two to three hours and require a Zipcar, and must be able to be performed all in one day in New York City.

Three Crazy Missions

Sept. 23 through Sept. 26, fans can vote for their favorite missions and Zipcar will announce the first of three winning missions on Sept. 27. The two remaining missions will be announced in the subsequent weeks leading up to "One Crazy Day." In addition to the three grand prize winners who will participate in the filming and receive $250 driving credit, six runners up will receive $100 in free Zipcar driving.
