Holden Takes Home Three People's Choice Awards from carsales.com.au

VICTORIA, AUSTRALIA - Dec 7, 2011: Holden has taken out top honours in an impressive three categories at the carsales.com.au People’s Choice Awards today – Holden’s Commodore, Captiva and Cruze won the Large Car, Medium SUV and Small Car categories respectively.

This is the second consecutive year that the Holden Commodore and Captiva have claimed the title in their categories and the first time for the recently launched Australian-built Cruze.

In 2010 Holden launched the Series II VE Commodore introducing improved fuel economy on all petrol variants, the capacity to run on environmentally friendly bio-ethanol and smart multimedia technology including an all-new touch-screen infotainment system that delivers full Bluetooth®, USB, iPod® and MP3 player integration across the range.

Captiva got a make-over at the beginning of this year that included a new look, improved fuel economy and increased power across the range. More recently, the Series II Captiva 7 SX diesel joined the Commodore and Cruze range by being awarded the maximum five star safety rating from Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP).

With stunning styling, a high level of standard features and a five star safety rating, the Australian-built Series II Cruze sedan and hatch range has already become a firm favourite in the competitive small car segment since being launched earlier this year.

Holden Director of Marketing, Simon Carr said that winning these awards was something everyone at Holden should celebrate.
