AutoAlert Receives Third and Fourth Patents for Revolutionary Solution That Helps Auto Dealers Sell More Cars and Services to Existing Customers

IRVINE, CA--Jan. 5, 2012:  AutoAlert,® Inc., the innovator in providing data analytic and lead-generation solutions to auto dealers, said today it has received a third and fourth new U.S. patent. Patent Number 8,086,529 became effective December 27, 2011 and 8,095,461 is effective January 10, 2012.

These new patents from the United States Patent and Trademark Office for methods and processes integrated into AutoAlert software systems follows on the heels of earlier U.S. patent numbers 7,827,099 issued in December of 2010 and 8,005,752 issued in August of 2011.

"With these patents in place and others coming, we believe we are taking the responsible steps needed to stand ready to protect the rights associated with our patented intellectual property," said Jeffrey S. Cotton, cofounder of AutoAlert and a 25-year veteran of the automotive industry. The company expects to receive additional patents during 2012, he added.
