Milford, M--March 6, 2012 — GGT Electric is bringing some Detroit-style horsepower back to the electric vehicle industry in 2012 with the introduction of the new GGT 4-Door Scout All-Electric Pickup Truck. The big news is that the 2012 Scout Pickup has a robust new 96 volt/50 Horsepower power train, making it one of the most powerful all electric pickup trucks in its class.

In addition to the extra power under its hood, the 2012 Scout Pickup also features a stylish, convenient new 4-door, 5-seat crew-cab design and an impressive flatbed.

GGT has also outfitted the 2012 Scout Pickup with a brand-new electric heater system, the first in its kind in the electric truck industry. While past interior heating designs drained batteries and struggled to warm the whole vehicle, the 2012 Scout’s heater works easily and efficiently without severely impacting battery life.

GGT’s Scout line of all-electric, zero emission trucks have a legacy of excellence – the 2011 Scout Pickup was named “Best in Show” at the 2011 Michigan Electric Vehicle Show, the largest electric vehicle show in the Midwest. The 2012 4-Door Scout keeps up this tradition by continuing to innovate, offering customers an ideal, cost-efficient electric truck that’s perfect for fleet or commercial use.

“We could not be prouder of our 2012 4-Door Scout Pickup,” says Ray Leduc, CEO of GGT Electric. “GGT is dedicated to continually improving and expanding upon our electric vehicle offerings to make sure that our customers can find exactly the right kind of electric vehicle that meets their needs. As the electric truck market continues to expand, we think that our 2012 4-Door Scout Pickup will be recognized as a workhorse staple in vehicle fleets across the globe. This is simply one of the best electric trucks on the market today.”
