FYI: Infiniti Buyer's Guide

NEW YORK, March 12, 2012 -- Today at noon, an all-new, fully equipped 2013 Infiniti JX luxury crossover will be sold to a lucky Gilt member for $27,425, half off its retail price of $54,850. The real winner will be Coaches vs. Cancer, a collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches, as Gilt plans to donate the full retail value of the car to this special organization.

In addition, Infiniti, an official corporate partner of NCAA Men's Basketball and the 2012 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship, is partnering with Gilt to offer a limited number of luxury VIP hotel and ticket packages to attend the final rounds of the NCAA Tournament, including exclusive tickets and VIP experiences, through Gilt's travel site, Jetsetter. The sale of packages begins today at 12:00 p.m. ET, coinciding with the tournament's "Bracket Monday," and lasts 60 hours. Sales are on a first-come, first-served basis, with details and restrictions available at www.gilt.com/infiniti.

"From the brand of inspired performance to a game changer in luxury online shopping, the exclusive partnership with the Gilt Groupe is the perfect way to kick off sales of the inspired all-new 2013 Infiniti JX, while also bringing another sizeable donation to help fund cancer research," said Infiniti Americas Vice President, Ben Poore. "Infiniti will donate more than $700,000 to Coaches vs. Cancer this year with the help of passionate fans."

"Gilt's unique partnership with Infiniti is a natural extension for both brands as our customers equally value style, sophistication, and quality products," said Andy Page, President, Gilt Groupe. "We're thrilled to donate to Coaches vs. Cancer, and support their important awareness and advocacy programs. Providing our members the opportunity to purchase this beautiful new car and one-of-a-kind NCAA experiences at such a great value was a perfect way for Gilt to show its support of the cause and inspire our customers."

The sale of the all-new JX also launches at 12 p.m. ET on March 12th. Infiniti's latest creation offers a vibrant symphony of both luxury and style, highlighted by the new Infiniti design language direction, as well as a suite of personal luxury accommodations. Along with its standout styling and craftsmanship, the breakthrough JX design offers excellent legroom in all three rows, ample cargo room behind the 3rd row, and an innovative middle seat design that provides entry to the 3rd row without removing the 2nd row child seat.

The JX also continues Infiniti's tradition of developing world's first technologies, adding a new feature, Backup Collision Intervention (BCI), to the currently available Blind Spot Interventionā„¢ (BSI) system. With this technology, when the transmission is in reverse, the JX will help the driver detect crossing vehicles and objects behind the JX and, if necessary, the system can automatically engage the brakes to help avoid a collision.
