Ecovelocity To Become The UK's First Carbon Neutral Car Show

LONDON – March 30, 2012: EcoVelocity will be the first UK car show to be carbon neutral. Through its partnership with Carbon Neutral Investments, EcoVelocity will offset the carbon emissions of the show by supporting a Hydro-electric project in India.

EcoVelocity is a low carbon motor show that allows visitors to learn all about the latest low carbon and zero emissions vehicles that are available in the market place today, as well as experiencing a hands-on test drive on a 3.5 mile route in London.

EcoVelocity will for the first time be running alongside Grand Designs Live. Visitors to EcoVelocity will be able to visit both events with just one ticket. Grand Designs Live is based on the Channel 4 TV series, and presented by design guru Kevin McCloud, the event is packed to the brim with ideas, design and innovation for every room in your home.

At the heart of EcoVelocity for 2012 is the ‘Main Theatre’ where visitors can listen to a varied series of interesting and thought provoking presentations and discussions from the industry experts about the world of low carbon motoring, including vehicle production, the different technologies and how they operate in the real world. Each session will end with an open Q and A so that visitors can get direct answers to their questions.

The display vehicles will showcase a range of low carbon alternatives, including fully electric, hybrid and plug-in hybrids along with lower CO2 emission petrol and diesel cars.
