MORE INFO

ATLANTA--April 27, 2012: Every child has dreams growing up. Perhaps it's blasting off in a rocket ship to the moon or finding out what's at the end of the rainbow. Or, perhaps it's driving down the Rubicon Trail in a Jeep Wrangler with the top open and the doors off. Dreams and fantastic adventures enable a child's imagination and creativity to flourish and inspire young people at both an emotional and intellectual level. To encourage youth to explore their dreams, the Jeep brand is partnering with Boys & Girls Clubs of America to offer two creative contests, "Dream Adventure" and "Your Jeep® Quest," that will reward Club members with once-in-a-lifetime events.

"Throughout its 70 year history the Jeep brand has stood for Freedom and Adventure -- part of the spirit of Jeep is to facilitate life's journeys and to help enable people to pursue their on road and off road adventures," said Mike Manley, President and CEO, Jeep Brand -- Chrysler Group LLC. "We are proud to partner with Boys & Girls Clubs of America, so that we can help inspire young people to share their 'Dream Adventure' with others."

Dream Adventure

The national contest asks Boys & Girls Club members across the country to answer the question "What would you do in this big world if you could do anything you wanted?" In response, young people ages 6-12 will share illustrations and members ages 13-18 can submit 60-second videos for a chance to win an adventure-filled Jeep-themed bash for their Club along with other prizes. Four winners in each age group will be selected based on criteria including creativity, visual impact and compelling title.

Your Jeep® Quest

The regional contest invites Boys & Girls Clubs members to express the core values of freedom, adventure and authenticity through a photo contest. Boys & Girls Club members of all ages, 6-18, can submit original photographs to represent these values for a chance to earn a VIP Jeep brand experience at or near their local club for 200 family, friends, which includes a 4x4 adventure and behind-the-scenes tour for 200 family, friends and fellow Boys & Girls Club members. Regional winners will be selected based on criteria including creativity, visual representation and a compelling title.

"Through this partnership with the Jeep brand, we're inspiring Boys & Girls Club members to think creatively and be adventurous in their ambitions," said Judith J. Pickens, Senior Vice President, Program & Youth Development Services for Boys & Girls Clubs of America. "Participation in this unique national contest enables our Club members to explore possibilities and broaden their horizons to reach their full potential and achieve great futures."
