SHANGHAI--May 8, 2012: China's State Council approved the Energy Saving and NEV Industry Development Plan (2012-2020) last month. The Plan is expected to guide and safeguard the development of China's new energy vehicle industry. What are the details of the Plan? What implications does it convey? Environmental protection, energy saving and innovation were given high priority in this year's NPC and CPPCC reports, while controversy still exists over the prospects, supporting policies and technical globalization of the new energy vehicle industry.
