NEW ORLEANS--May 101, 2012: Cellcontrol, the leading developer of distracted driving solutions, has been featured in the Solution Showcase and Safe Driving Pavilions this week at CTIA Wireless 2012 as the industry's best-in-class solution to effectively prevent distracted driving. As CTIA wraps up today, Cellcontrol also announced that a formal partnership has been executed with a major wireless carrier to accelerate the introduction of Cellcontrol's technology for driver safety management to commercial fleet customers. Cellcontrol, which has been broadly recognized as the leader in protecting fleets and families in all types of vehicles, will be presented by this unnamed carrier's national sales force beginning June 7, 2012 to businesses that have both company-owned fleet vehicles and company-issued mobile devices. The Cellcontrol solution uniquely offers two layers of driver safety management to this market, including protection against distracted driving and automated reporting of basic vehicle safety and operating data.

Cellcontrol entered into this partnership after extensive planning, technology evaluation and mutual review due to growing customer demand for effective driver safety management technologies. The Cellcontrol solution provides protection for commercial customers by inhibiting distracted driving behaviors and reporting basic vehicle safety and operating data. Cellcontrol utilizes a vehicle's onboard computer to determine when a vehicle is moving and instantly blocks the use of a driver's cell phone, laptop computer, or other mobile device based on a company's distracted driving policy. Mobile device functions that Cellcontrol can manage include phone, text, e-mail, Web, push-to-talk, gaming, and other distracting activities. Vehicle safety and operating data reports allow fleet and safety managers to monitor actual driving behavior, including speed, mileage, hours of use, idle time, hard braking, harsh acceleration and check engine light illumination. This operating information helps fleet managers who want to ensure their drivers are following company driving and safety policies

"This major carrier relationship reflects our commitment to improving driver safety in commercial fleets. Although we are not disclosing the specific carrier before going live in June, we applaud the leadership of our newest partner in planning for and introducing our solution to its customers. The benefits of using Cellcontrol fit nicely with commercial fleet needs, particularly since the Cellcontrol solution covers more phones, smartphones, laptop, tablets and handhelds than anyone else in the wireless industry," said Chuck Cox, Senior Vice President at Cellcontrol. "We have announced this partnership as a call to other carriers to seek out, compare and then jointly present a proven solution that stops texting while driving, promotes driver safety, reduces costs and saves lives. This joint marketing program launches June 7, 2012, and we have announced here at CTIA as this convention is industry's largest showplace for innovation and of important commercial solutions. While this particular carrier is clearly taking the lead, we similarly look forward to working with other carriers."
