Edmonton, Jul. 22, 2012: Carlos Muņoz is the winner of today's Firestone Indy Lights race in Edmonton, Alberta, driving the Team Dialy-Ser entry. This is the first career Firestone Indy Lights victory (in nine starts) for the 20-year-old resident of Miami, Florida and native of Colombia. He started today's race from the pole position and won by a dominating margin of more than eight seconds over his teammate Sebastian Saavedra, who finished second.

Muņoz previously raced in the Formula 3 Euroseries from 2010-2011 and competed in the Formula Renault Eurocup from 2007-2009.

Andretti Autosport has two Firestone Indy Lights titles (2008 and 2009), and this is the second Indy Lights race win this season. Saavedra won from the pole position at Barber Motorsports Park.

Andretti Autosport has two entries in the 2012 Firestone Indy Lights series, with Muņoz and Sebastian Saavedra (Team AFS Racing / Andretti Autosport). Andretti Autosport is the only team with entries in each of the Mazda Road to Indy ladder series categories.
