Watkins Glen, August 12, 2012: In another illustration of 'bad luck' Danica Patrick allegedly 'the best woman race driver in history,' according to Rusty Wallace, managed to run into Ryan Truex in corner 1 on lap 1 at Watkins Glen.

Currently Patrick's season performance includes an average finish of 19th in 21 events to date, however her overall top-20 Nationwide ranking should be seen for what is; an illustration of just how good JRM's crew and fab folks are rather than her driving acumen.

Although the recent Glen incident can be fairly judged to be an obvious racing accident, as Roger Penske suggests 'good luck is based on equal parts preparation and perspiration.' However in this case, Patrick seems to be more interested in regularly using her team's preparation and perspiration to prop her image up, rather than learning enough from them to produce consistent performances on her own merit.
