Freewheelin's presence at the 2012 Democratic National Convention will kick off with a ride through downtown Charlotte. A caravan of pedal buses will roll along one of the designated Freewheelin routes. Following the ride, an announcement will be made on the future of the pedal buses and what it means for the city of Charlotte. | |||
| 20 Freewheelin pedal buses, or "bus-cycles," will be available for free to convention-goers, Charlotte residents and DNC visitors from 10:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. Monday, Sept. 3 -- Thursday, Sept. 6 as a fun, healthy, green and shaded means of transportation. | ||||
