NEW YORK—Lexus and Walton Isaacson (WI), have just won the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation's 2012 GLAAD Amplifier Award for their work on Lexus' "How Far Have We Come?" print campaign. The award was presented Tuesday night at a ceremony in New York City.

“Winning the GLAAD Amplifier Award is a great honor that underscores both Lexus' commitment to the LGBT community and our commitment to be inclusive in our outreach to all consumers who want to engage with our brand”

The Lexus campaign includes a timeline of pivotal events in LGBT history and declares to consumers: "the next step is up to you."

The GLAAD Amplifier Awards were created as part of the GLAAD Media Awards in 2009 in order to elevate and promote individuals and projects in advertising and marketing industries for groundbreaking representations of the LGBT community.

"Winning the GLAAD Amplifier Award is a great honor that underscores both Lexus' commitment to the LGBT community and our commitment to be inclusive in our outreach to all consumers who want to engage with our brand," states Brian Smith, Vice President, Lexus Marketing.

Lexus scores a perfect 100 on the HRC Corporate Equality Index and remains on the HRC's "Best Places to Work" list for the fifth consecutive year.

The campaign was developed by Walton Isaacson, Lexus' Agency of Record for LGBT marketing.
