NEW YORK--Jan. 21, 2013: Tens of thousands of New York City school children who usually ride school buses took subways, taxis and private cars to school on Wednesday, January 16, 2013, as more than 8,000 bus drivers and aids went on strike to keep their jobs.

To ease the financial strain on parents getting their kids to school during the strike, Carmel Car and Limousine Service, the largest limousine service in the world, is offering a money saving Discount.

"If there is anything we can do to ease the burden of some of the 152,000 students who are seeking other ways to get to school, we'll do it," said Dr. Avik Kabessa, Chief Executive Officer of Carmel Car and Limousine Service.

To take advantage of this money saving opportunity -- which consists of $4.00 off any trip taking a student to school - parents simply go online to Carmel Limo to reserve a car. They can also download the Carmel Limo App.  The option to prepay for the ride is also available.

All children below 15 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

The parent will receive an additional $4.00 off if they also reserve a car from the school.
